“ Come on *29 January 2025* We come after we prayed to god in temple as we celebrate the lunar new year. The place is huge and clean. They have a lot of staff their staffs are friendly. They would bring cart to show you the food and they will stamp how many food you take. Price is cheap. That's why make this restaurant is busy! Food is good. I do like the rice, siomay and dumplings Will come back for sure Price around 16-23$( tax+tips) ”
“ Every dish we tried was amazing. Okg. I would drive and hour and a half a half for this or even two hours again for this. Service - can't say there was any. But food was served immediately after sitting and was well worth it. Large space and wasn't just when we went. ”
“ My family and I haven't been here in a few years - and even longer for their dimsum. My aunt and uncle live nearby, so they chose Capital Seafood for our Christmas lunch get together last year. And, the food was so good! My dad has been favoring this other dimsum place in Monterey Park, but honestly after eating at Capital Seafood, I think we will be coming here from now on instead. Their chicken and sticky rice was just right, their Bai Tang Gao was bouncy and had great texture, we ordered many other dishes and everything came out amazing. Oh, and bonus, they cook their turnip cake fresh to order too! Yum!!!! The servers were very attentitive to us, and my family's millions of questions - so A+ on that end as well. We will def be back for more! Don't know why we ever stopped coming here in the first place, Capital Seafood has always been one of my faves. ”
“ Great service took us less than 15 minutes to be seated, food came quickly and went quickly lol we devoured everything come hungry u will have plenty to choose from. ”
“ My family and I come here for family dinner at least once a month. The food here is solid. There is plenty of seating. If you come on the weekends sometime, the restaurant will be hosting wedding parties in the main dining area. They have private dining rooms in the back of the restaurant available if you choose. The service has always been good. The servers do a good job of managing the dishes on the lazy Susan during your dining experience. They bring out fresh plates halfway through your meal, which is nice. ”
“ On Thursday morning, dim sum was the call, Capital Seafood gave us a feast, one and all! With carts rolling by and flavors galore, We pointed and picked, wanting more and more. The BBQ Pork Rolls and Custard Buns, divine, Warm and fluffy, they were just fine. Har Gow was tasty, though tricky to hold, But still, it was yummy, not getting too cold. The Peking Duck was crisp and grand, A dish that will take you to distant lands. But service? A bit off, to be fair, With staff less than friendly, which seemed rare. Still, the food was good, and the decor grand, The dim sum carts? Oh, they're in demand! A place for authentic flavors to find, With a few small hiccups but nothing unkind. ”
“ 3.5 stars. Convenient to freeway, enter on Atlantic towards the Ranch 99 sign. It's tucked in the corner and it's not to busy. My fave was the bbq pork rice roll noodle...the noodle was thin and the bbq pork was a generous portion. The dumplings like hat gow and chive dumplings had thick wrappers but what are we gonna do if these dumplings are going to stay strong while they get pushed around the carts. I do prefer the order from the menu dim sum spots so that the chive dumpling isn't over cooked like it is here. The bathrooms are better than average for Chinese restaurants and the noise wasn't terrible. The 10% discount Yelp checkin is helpful. ”
“ The good: We got seated right away and were excited to see the dim sum carts being pushed around. We got the rice rolls with beef and one with shrimp and they were great. The sauce was sweeter than I'm used to but it was pleasant that way. I also got fish cake, congee with thousand year old egg, egg tarts, custard buns, har gow and xiu mai. This was the exact dim sum experience I was hoping to have. The place is authentic and serves everything I'd hope to find in a classic dim sum spot. The ambience was nice too. It has the fancier Chinese restaurant decor with fancy chandeliers and gold wooden trim on the walls. The tablecloths were white fabrics. The custard buns were delicious! The top was crusty like a pineapple bun and the bao under was chewy and yeasty. The custard oozed out and was warm. We wanted to eat more but didn't because we were trying to be "good." The bad: The congee was on the bland side. You have to request soy sauce and chili sauce (they're not automatically on the table). The interesting: We were the only non-Chinese people in the restaurant. It was hard to communicate with the waiters but showing pictures helped. Jasmine tea was $3. It cost $50 for 2 of us to dine. ”
